Armenia denies Azerbaijani allegations of border fire Incident

YEREVAN, September 12. /ARKA/. The Armenian Ministry of Defense has refuted a statement from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense, which claimed that between 12:15 a.m. and 1:05 a.m. on September 12, Armenian forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions in the southwestern section of the border. According to the Armenian defense authorities, the allegation is untrue.

The ministry also reiterated that Armenia had previously proposed establishing a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations or related claims, but Azerbaijan has yet to respond to the offer.
