Newly elected president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan was sworn in Tuesday to the second term at an extraordinary session of the National Assembly in Karen Demirchyan Sport and Concert Complex in Yerevan.

YEREVAN, April 9. /ARKA/. Newly elected president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan was sworn in Tuesday to the second term at an extraordinary session of the National Assembly in Karen Demirchyan Sport and Concert Complex in Yerevan.

During the oath taking ceremony he swore to unreservedly adhere to the Constitution, to respect human and civil rights and freedoms, to safeguard independence of the Republic, its territorial integrity and security for the glory of the Republic of Armenia and for the benefit of the people of the Republic of Armenia

He took his oath on the Constitution and Gospel of VII century.

His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II blessed President Sargsyan. -0-
