Armenian Defense Ministry once again refutes Azerbaijani disinformation

YEREVAN, March 18. /ARКА/. Armenian Ministry of Defense has refuted Azerbaijani disinformation about alleged gunfire on the border for the sixth time in two days.

"The statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, claiming that from 10:15 PM on March 17 to 12:20 AM on March 18, units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions in the eastern and southeastern sections of the border zone, is not true," the Armenian Defense Ministry stated.

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia reminded that the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia had proposed creating a joint mechanism between Armenia and Azerbaijan to investigate incidents of ceasefire violations and/or the information surrounding them. However, Azerbaijan has not yet responded to this proposal.

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia confirmed that, in line with the position of the Prime Minister’s Office, Armenia is ready to investigate the facts supporting the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's claim if they are provided to Armenia.
