YEREVAN, August 13. /ARKA/. The Armenian government reappointed nine of the 10 governors to their positions.

Specifically, Robert Ghukasyan was reappointed as governor of Syunik Province, Vahagn Arsenyan as governor of Vayots Dzor Province, Sedrak Tevonyan as governor of Ararat Province, Sergey Movsisyan as governor of Aragatsotn Province, and Vahram Khachatryan as governor of Armavir Province.

Hayk Galumyan will continue to govern Tavush Province, Karen Sargsyan as governor of Gegharkunik Province, Davit Arushanyan as governor of Shirak Province, and Aren Mkrtchyan as governor of Lori Province.

The relevant decisions were included in the government meeting agenda as non-reportable items. The drafts were presented by David Khudatyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.

The position of Kotayk Governor remains vacant. The previous governor, Aharon Sahakyan, was relieved of his post on July 31, 2026, due to his transition to parliament as a member of parliament.-0-
