Armenian and Russian defence ministers synchronize their watches

Armenian minister of defence Seyran Ohanyan and his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoygu discussed international and regional security issues and coordinated their positions on bilateral military and defence technology cooperation agenda, Novosti-Armenia Agency reported referring to Ohanyan’s statement after the meeting.

YEREVAN, January 29. /ARKA/. Armenian minister of defence Seyran Ohanyan and his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoygu discussed international and regional security issues and coordinated their positions on bilateral military and defence technology cooperation agenda, Novosti-Armenia Agency reported referring to Ohanyan’s statement after the meeting.
“We have also considered a number of issues related to the Russian military base dislocation”, Ohanyan said.
Ohanyan expressed delight that the scheduled visit of the Russian minister of defence, General of the Army Sergey Shoygu is held on January 28-29, when Armenia celebrates the 21st anniversary of the Armenian army.
Ohanyan expressed confidence that the visit will boost further cooperation in defence between the countries and help strengthen stability in the region. -0-
