An Armenian contract servicemen was killed on Friday by gunfire from the Azerbaijani side, the spokesman for Armenian defense ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote in Facebook saying the Armenian Defense Ministry will not leave this unanswered.

YEREVAN, June 26. / ARKA /. An Armenian contract servicemen was killed on Friday by gunfire from the Azerbaijani side, the spokesman for Armenian defense ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote in Facebook saying the Armenian Defense Ministry will not leave this unanswered.

"Today at 18:30 the enemy fired from the territory of Nakhichevan at Armenian positions near the village Gorayk in Syunik region by using heavy weapons. After the Armenian side’s return fire the enemy suffered great losses, but a contract serviceman Arman Yepremyan born in 1987 was killed,’ said Hovhannisyan.

"The Armenian Defense Ministry expresses condolences to Arman Yepremyan’s relatives and peers and notes that these attacks of the enemy will not remain unanswered,’ said Hovhannisyan.
He also recalled that in this sector of the border zone no shelling was reported for a year. -0-
