YEREVAN, September 27. / ARKA /. The Armenian Ministry of Health called on citizens today to donate blood.
“Dear compatriots, the Ministry of Health hopes for your assistance. To replenish the necessary blood reserves, we need blood donations, without which we cannot save lives,” the ministry said in a statement.
It said blood should be donated only by visiting the Yolyan Institute of Hematology or the regional structures of the blood bank. It said also the blood type and Rh factor do not matter.
Azerbaijan launched today morning a large-scale offensive shelling Nagorno-Karabakh’s capital Stepanakert and other settlements. “The Defense Army of Nagorno-Karabakh is successfully repelling the attack,” Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan wrote in a Facebook post.
“The enemy has launched an air and missile attack in the direction of Nagorno-Karabakh,” said Shushan Stepanyan, Armenian Ministry of Defense spokeswoman.
Later in the day Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan declared martial law and general military mobilization after holding emergency meetings of his government and Security Council. According to the Armenian Defense Ministry, thousands of people across Armenia have already volunteered to fight in Karabakh. -0-
