Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent Saturday a message to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulating him on the Independence Day of Ukraine, the press office of the Armenian government reports.

YEREVAN, August 26. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent Saturday a message to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulating him on the Independence Day of Ukraine, the press office of the Armenian government reports.

"Please accept my warmest congratulations and sincere wishes on the occasion of the national holiday of Ukraine - Independence Day," Pashinyan says in his message. "I am convinced that through consistent efforts you will be able to implement all the programs aimed at developing and strengthening Ukraine."

The Armenian premier says in the message that the friendly relations between Armenia and Ukraine have significant development potential that needs to be tapped to the best interest of the two countries' people.

"I am convinced that through joint efforts we can impart a new quality to the multifaceted Armenian-Ukrainian cooperation. In this regard, I also consider it important to resume the work of the bilateral intergovernmental commission," he says. "The availability of a large Armenian community in Ukraine and the activities of the vibrant Ukrainian community in Armenia may help deepen the strong bonds of friendship between our two countries."

Pashinyan wished Zelensky every success in all his initiatives, as well as peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Ukraine. -0---
