France to provide 29 million euros to assist refugees from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) – head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
YEREVAN. September 16 /ARKA/. France will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Armenia and will allocate 29 million euros to help refugees from Artsakh, said French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Stephane Sejourné in Yerevan.
At the end of November 2023, France voted in parliament for emergency aid in the amount of 15 million euros for Armenia and refugees from Artsakh.
About the ethnic cleansing of Azerbaijan in Artsakh
On September 19-20, 2023, Azerbaijan launched a large-scale aggression against Artsakh using artillery, UAVs and combat aircraft. On September 28, following negotiations with the Azerbaijani side, Nagorno-Karabakh President Samvel Shahramanyan issued a decree that all state institutions of the Republic would be dissolved and the Artskah Republic would cease to exist from January 1, 2024.
Residents of Artsakh were forced to leave their Homeland and moved to Armenia. According to the Armenian Government, more than 115 thousand Artsakh residents have been registered.
