Armenia’s president has signed a decree to appoint Hovik Abrahamyan, speaker of the National Assembly, as premier.

YEREVAN, April 14. /ARKA/. Armenia’s president has signed a decree to appoint Hovik Abrahamyan, speaker of the National Assembly, as premier.
The ruling Republican Party of Armenia nominated Abrahamyan for premier’s post Sunday proposed by the president.
The new premier will have broad powers in personnel policy and will be able to include professionals in the cabinet irrespective of their party affiliation, vice-speaker of the parliament Eduard Sharmazanov said after RPA council’s meeting Sunday.
According to Armenia’s constitution, the cabinet is formed within twenty days after appointment of the premier. –0--
