India’s vice president arrives in Armenia

India’s vice president Hamid Ansari is arriving today in Armenia on a three-day official visit, the press service of the Armenian government reported.
YEREVAN, April 24, /ARKA/. India’s vice president Hamid Ansari is arriving today in Armenia on a three-day official visit, the press service of the Armenian government reported. In Armenia, Ansari will hold discussions with president Serzh Sargsyan, prime minister Karen Karapetyan and foreign minister Edward Nalbandian in the capital Yerevan.
The visit intends to further strengthen the cordial relations between the two countries and develop cooperation and partnership on a wide range of issues of shared common interest, India’s external affairs ministry said. Ansari will also address the students and faculty at the Yerevan University.
The visit to Armenia takes place at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. This is the second visit at the level of the vice president of India to Armenia.
In Yerevan Ansari will pay also tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide and visit Matenadaran depository of manuscripts.-0-
