President of European Commission expected in Armenia today

President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso is expected to arrive in Yerevan today, invited by Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan, the presidential press service reported.
YEREVAN, November 30. /ARKA/. President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso is expected to arrive in Yerevan today, invited by Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan, the presidential press service reported.
Barroso will have meetings with president Sargsyan, parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan and prime-minister Tigran Sargsyan.
The sides are expected to discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including Armenia-EU cooperation agenda and regional problems.
Serzh Sargsyan and Jose Manuel Barroso will give a joint press-conference on the outcome on December 1.
The presidential press service also said that Barroso will participate in European People’s Party (EPP) Eastern Partnership summit in Yerevan and will meet civil society member in Yerevan. -0-
