Putin congratulates "the fraternal Armenian people" on Independence Day

YEREVAN, September 20. /ARKA/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated 'the fraternal Armenian people' and the country's leadership on Armenia's Independence Day, to be marked on September 21.
"Armenia is our close friend and strategic ally. This year marks two landmark anniversaries: the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our countries and the 25th anniversary of the fundamental Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance," Putin said on Tuesday at a ceremony to receive credentials from foreign ambassadors, including. Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan.
According to Putin, Russia and Armenia maintain an intensive political dialogue. "This year alone, we have met with Nikol Pashinyan three times, including most recently in Vladivostok, at the Eastern Economic Forum," the Russian president recalled, adding that Yerevan will host the annual summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in November. --0--
