Sacked volunteers reinstated in their posts

Armenian volunteers who had rushed to Nagorno-Karabakh in early April to join its armed forces to rebuff an Azerbaijani offensive and who were later sacked by their employers, have been reinstated in their posts, a spokesman for the Armenian Defense Minister Artsrun Hovhannisyan said today.
YEREVAN, May 3. /ARKA/. Armenian volunteers who had rushed to Nagorno-Karabakh in early April to join its armed forces to rebuff an Azerbaijani offensive and who were later sacked by their employers, have been reinstated in their posts, a spokesman for the Armenian Defense Minister Artsrun Hovhannisyan said today.
Hovhannisyan said the ministry of defense has provided some support in solving this issue. 'We hope that problems of this nature will not arise any more," he said.
According to the spokesman, the employers should not have done this, especially that the losses they incurred were not so great.
"The volunteers rushed to the front line and their rights must be protected. Sacking them was morally wrong," Hovhannisyan said, stressing that this issue requires a certain state approach and solution. -0-
