Security Council Secretary: Armenia receives new suggestions on peace treaty from Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, June 26. /ARKA/. Armenia received new suggestions on the peace treaty draft from Azerbaijan, Armenia’s Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan announced on Wednesday.

“Yes, they reacted to our 9th edition of the draft, sending us their suggestions. We are working on it now,” Grigoryan told Armenpress.

He did not specify whether the sides are any closer to signing the treaty.

“We’ll continue working towards making this process as fast as possible. Armenia is ready to sign this treaty very soon, we recently suggested that we sign it within a month,” he said.

Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan recently said Yerevan was ready to sign a peace treaty with Baku within one month. He added, however, that Azerbaijan keeps making new demands “that cause concerns whether their ultimate goal is to achieve peace”.
