Armenia approves procedure for second stage of tender for supply of biometric passports and ID cards

YEREVAN, October 3. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved the procedure for holding the second stage of the tender for the supply of biometric passports and identification cards at a meeting today.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan reported that three participants passed the first round: two consortiums and one private supplier. She noted that negotiations with the tender participants were held for 5 months.
The deputy minister said that applications for participation in the second round can be submitted until January 10, 2025, and from January 11, the evaluation commission will begin reviewing applications.
According to her, by the end of March 2025, the winner will be selected, that will begin implementing the infrastructure for providing biometric passports and identification cards. -0-
