Armenia came 88th among 149 countries in Legatum Institute’s Legatum Prosperity Index ranking leaving almost all countries of its region behind.

YEREVAN, November 30. /ARKA/. Armenia came 88th among 149 countries in Legatum Institute’s Legatum Prosperity Index ranking leaving almost all countries of its region behind.
The annual ranking is based on a variety of factors including wealth, economic growth, education, health, personal well-being and quality of life.
Of the region countries, only Georgia stands before Armenia – it is ranked 80th outdoing Turkey (93), Russia (96), Azerbaijan (99) and Iran (108).
Armenia’s neighbors in the ranking are Bolivia and Belarus.
Armenia has relatively high rank in education (48th), while its position in social capital development is very low - the 133rd of 149 countries. For security level Armenia was ranked 78th and for environment protection 72nd.
The ranking is topped by Norway, New Zealand, Finland, Switzerland and Denmark.
The Central African Republic and Afghanistan are in the tail of the ranking. -0---
