YEREVAN, March 19. /ARKA/. The government of Armenia will allocate a land plot in Silikyan quarter in Yerevan or the construction of the premises of the Anti-Corruption Committee and Court.

Justice minister Rustam Badasyan said the land plot is 15 hectares. The construction of the Anti-Corruption Committee and Court are part of the government’s judicial and legal strategy.

"Initially, that area was to be allocated for the construction of a new penitentiary institution, as a result of which the Nubarashen Penitentiary Institution and the Prisoners Hospital were to be relocated  to the new building," Badasyan said.
But later the ministry allocated land plots in the Erebuni district of Yerevan and in the town of Abovyan for the construction of the penitentiary institution.

For his part, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  proposed to consider the possibility of building courts  near the places of detention in order to spend less money on transporting prisoners. -0-
