Armenian government raises scholarships of military school cadets

YEREVAN, September 14. /ARKA/. The Armenian government at a session on Thursday approved a rise in scholarships of military school cadets.
"We have set fixed payments, according to which a first-year student will receive AMD 15,000, second –year student - AMD 20,000, third-year student - AMD 25,000, fourth-year - AMD 30,000, and fifth-year student - AMD 35,000," Defense Minister Suren Papikyan said .
He added that these are basic payments. Besides, cadets will receive bonuses depending on their academic performance. As a result, a first-year student can receive a scholarship from 45,000 drams to 75,000 drams.
Papikyan also said that cadets of the Monte Melkonyan Military Sports Lyceum will receive scholarships in the amount of 15-45 thousand drams. He added that the scholarships will be accumulated in the cadets' bank accounts and will be available to them during vacations. ($1 - 386.23 drams). --0--
