YEREVAN, January 25. /ARKA/. Armenian Parliament Chairman Ararat Mirzoyan said the number of official cars servicing parliamentary leadership will be cut. In a Facebook post he said  the heads of departments of the parliament’s staff, deputy heads of staff, and deputy chairmen of standing committees will not be served by cars. He said the amount of petrol used by the parliament’s official cars will be also cut.

Mirzoyan noted that this decision was made by him and the head of the parliament staff a week ago. "In order to ensure the normal operation of the parliament staff and standing committees, duty vehicles will operate, which will transport parliament officials, who will have to submit grounded justified requests in advance," added Mirzoyan.

The chief of government staff Eduard Aghajanyan said in a Facebook post yesterday that the number of cars servicing  the Armenian Prime Minister’s administration will be reduced radically from 50 to 7.

According to him, only two deputy prime ministers and the secretary of the National Security Council will be provided with officials cars and drivers. He said he neither will use official car. He said the drivers have been notified about the decision.-0-
