Armenian Weather Service warns of high-level fire danger

YEREVAN, June 16. /ARKA/. Armenia's Weather Service warned today that a high-level fire danger is expected in the next 5 days in the Ararat Valley and its foothills, as well as in the Syunik valleys and in the foothills of Vayots Dzor.
It said the ultraviolet radiation intensity is expected to be higher than the norm. The Weather Service said people should avoid being under the sun from 11:00 am to 17:00 pm.
It said also no rains are expected on June 16-21 throughout the country. The southwest wind will be blowing at 5-10 meters per second.
In the capital in Yerevan in the evening gusts of wind can reach a speed of 18-20 meters per second. The air temperature on June 16 in the daytime rose by 2-3 degrees.
In Yerevan, on Wednesday afternoon, the air heated up o 34-36 degrees. By June 21 the temperature will rise further to 37-39 degrees. -0-
