Armenians to have week-long New Year holidays

New Year's holidays in Armenia will start on December 31 and will last until January 7 inclusive, the head of the public relations department of the Armenian government Armen Khachatryan said today.

YEREVAN, December 23. /ARKA/. New Year's holidays in Armenia will start on December 31 and will last until January 7 inclusive, the head of the public relations department of the Armenian government Armen Khachatryan said today.
"Since there is no new government decision regarding non-working days, in accordance with the previous decision, the citizens of Armenia will have holidays from December 31, 2020 to January 7, 2021 inclusive," Khachatryan said.
He added that the government was not considering the possibility of replacing January 8, which is Friday and a working day, with another day, to extend the weekend days. -0-
