Compliance with outdoor advertising standards in Yerevan will be inspected, video surveillance cameras to be installed in kindergartens
YEREVAN, April 1. /ARKA/. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan ordered a relevant municipality department to monitor the compliance of business entities with the outdoor advertising standards adopted last year.
He said the inspection will begin with the downtown to understand how the business entities observe the standards of advertising adopted by us last year. 'I think we will take appropriate measures," Avinyan said at a working meeting in the capital's City Hall.
New criteria for outdoor advertising have been in effect in Yerevan from January 1, 2024. In particular, the size of advertising banners installed in the city center, on narrow streets and facades of buildings has been reduced. Unfair and misleading advertising is also prohibited.
Avinyan said also that video surveillance cameras will be installed in all municipality-funded kindergartens.
According to him, only a few persons exercising control should have access to the cameras. 'The mayor's office should be sure that the atmosphere in pre-school institutions is favorable," Avinian said.
In December 2023, videos depicting episodes of cruel treatment and beating of children in kindergartens, including private ones, appeared in the Armenian segment of social networks. --0--
