Rains, thunderstorms expected in Armenia this week

YEREVAN, May 3. /ARKA/. Rains are expected in most of Armenia on May 3 and May 7 overnight, the National Weather Service said today.
It said daytime rains and thunderstorms are also expected on May 4 and May 6 in some regions of the country.
In the mountainous areas snowfalls are possible on May 3 and 4 overnight. Some areas may be hit by hailstorms. Clear weather is forecast on May 5 and May 6 overnight.
The western winds will be blowing with gusts of 4-6 m/s. During the thunderstorms their speed may accelerate to 15-20 m/s.
The temperatures will fall by 3-6 degrees Celsius on May 3 afternoon and will gradually rise by 6-8 degrees on May 4 afternoon and May 5-6.
The coldest weather will be on May 4 overnight in Shirak and Gegharkunik regions, as well as in Kotayk and Aragatsotn mountains, where the temperatures will drop to 4 degrees below zero. In Lori region and Vayots Dzor mountains - up to 3 degrees below zero.
Rains and thunderstorms are possible in Yerevan on May 3, May 6 evening and May 7. The temperature in the capital on Wednesday afternoon will reach 14-16 degrees. It will rise further on Saturday to 22-24 degrees and drop on Sunday to 18-20 degrees. -0-
