Yerevan schools will operate six days a week for five weeks due to the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) to be held in Armenia, Armenpress reports, citing the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport.
YEREVAN, August 18. /ARKA/. Yerevan schools will operate six days a week for five weeks due to the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) to be held in Armenia, Armenpress reports, citing the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport.
The six-day school week will be introduced on September 15. As a result, classes in Yerevan schools will be closed for one week during COP17.
Thus, Yerevan schoolchildren's autumn break in October will last two weeks instead of one.
COP17 will be held in Armenia from October 19 to 30, 2026. It is planned to discuss the implementation of international commitments to preserve biodiversity.-0-
