On 4 August, European champion, World Cup silver medallist, Olympic vice-champion, gymnast Artur Davtyan won a silver medal.

On 7 August, Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Aleksanyan (97 kg), champion and multiple Olympic Games medallist, multiple world and European champion, won a silver medal after losing to Iranian Mohammadhadi Saravi.

On 7 August, world champion and three-time European champion Greco-Roman wrestler Malkhas Amoyan (77kg) defeated Uzbekistan's Aram Vardanyanto take Olympic bronze.

On 10 August, weightlifter Varazdat Lalayan (+102kg) became the vice-champion of the Olympic Games with the result of 467 (215+256kg) kg in the double-weightlifting event. -0-
