YEREVAN, January 3. /ARKA/. Armenia is the most popular foreign destination for Russians, who decided to celebrate New Year holidays in 2022 outside their country, the Russian Standard Bank said citing the data provided by RS TLS concierge service.

The most popular destinations in Russia itself are the resort city of Sochi on the Black Sea coast and other resort towns in the Krasnodar region, as well as St. Petersburg, the Golden Ring cities of Russia and Kaliningrad.

According to the research, against the background of growing interest of Russians to travelling about their own country, the demand for trips to the near abroad has also increased.

The beach rest in the warm countries is the leader in demand for traveling abroad. The most popular destinations are the Maldives, the Seychelles, the Dominican Republic and the island of Mauritius. -0-

117,000 tourists visited Armenia in February: Tourist flow decreased
