From January to June of 2025, the number of foreign tourists visiting Armenia amounted to 907,135, which is a 4.1% decrease from the same period in 2024 when the number was 946,162.

YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. From January to June of 2025, the number of foreign tourists visiting Armenia amounted to 907,135, which is a 4.1% decrease from the same period in 2024 when the number was 946,162. This information was reported by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic.

Of the tourists who visited Armenia in the first half of the year, 373,577 were women and 533,558 were men. The largest group of travelers was aged 36-63 (475,611 people), and the smallest group was aged 16-17 (9,579 people).

The most tourists came from Russia (338,052 people, or 37.3% of the total; a 14.6% decline compared to last year's first quarter), Georgia (128,240 people, or 14.1%; a 1% increase), and Iran (78,045 people, or 8.6%; a 12.7% increase).

Additionally, from January to March of this year, Armenia was visited by citizens from the United States (16,964), China (15,582), India (14,444), France (12,607), Germany (12,361), Ukraine (11,484), the Philippines (9,893), Italy (8,385), South Korea (8,135), and Belarus (7,646). , Turkey (5,756), the United Kingdom (5,430), the Netherlands (4,726), Poland (4,597), the United Arab Emirates (4,260), Kazakhstan (4,252), Bulgaria (3,731), , Spain (3,506), Belgium (3,173), Greece (3,039), Cyprus (2,663), the Czech Republic (2,362), Egypt (2,059), Lebanon (1,952), Canada (1,819), and Israel. Sweden (1,712), Switzerland (1,562), and Hungary (1,466).

The smallest number of tourists — one person each — came from Azerbaijan, England, Belize, Botswana, Guyana, Laos, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Papua New Guinea, Djibouti, Samoa, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Somalia, and Togo.

Two people each arrived from Burkina Faso, Brunei Darussalam, Gambia, Guinea, Grenada, Mali, Micronesia, Monaco, Namibia, El Salvador, Suriname, Eswatini, Vanuatu, and Fiji.

Three people each came from Bolivia, Jamaica, and Sudan. The report states that 126 individuals arrived from an unknown country. Meanwhile, 748,331 tourists left Armenia in the first half of 2025, compared to 705,105 in the same period in 2024. -0-
