The number of foreign tourists visiting Armenia in August 2024 down to 300,000

YEREVAN, 18 August. /ARKA/. Some 300,919 foreign tourists visited Armenia in August this year, down from 328,486 tourists who visited the country in in August 2023, the Tourism Committee reported.

Tourists from Russia (43.2% of the total) as well as from Georgia (11.9%) and Iran (7.5%) visited Armenia most of all during 8 months of the current year.  

According to the National Statistical Committee, the number of foreign tourists who visited Armenia in the first half of 2024 dropped to 946,162 from 1,007,346 in the same period of 2023, decreasing by 6.1%.-0-
