Tourist flow from Russia to Armenia grows 32% in Jan-Sep 2017

YEREVAN, December 12. /ARKA/. TourStat agency has released the ranking of popular destinations for Russian travelers in Jan-Sep 2017.

Russian tourists’ flow to Armenia grew 32% to 279,000 and the number of trips from Russia abroad grew by almost one-third to 31 million.

The most popular countries for Russian tourists in 2017 were Turkey (3,944,000, +717%), Abkhazia (3,493,000, +1%), Finland (2,481,000, +17%), Kazakhstan (2,326,000, +3.5%) and Ukraine (1,706,000, +24%).

Armenia came 27th in the travel agency’s ranking. --0---

117,000 tourists visited Armenia in February: Tourist flow decreased

In February 2025, Armenia was visited by 117,372 tourists, compared to 127,241 tourists in February 2024, according to the Tourism Committee.

Almost 140 thousand tourists visited Armenia in January: flow of visits down

YEREVAN, February 19. /ARKA/. Some 139,482 tourists visited Armenia in January 2025, the Tourism Committee, a division of the Ministry of Economy, reported.

According to it, most of the tourists were from Russia (55,130, or 39.5% of the total), Georgia (17,900, 13%) and Iran (13,180, 9.4%).
