The World Tourism Investment Forum will be held in Yerevan on September 6-8 in cooperation with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Armenian Tourism Committee, an affiliation of the Ministry of Economy, said today.

YEREVAN, August 16. /ARKA/. The World Tourism Investment Forum will be held in Yerevan on September 6-8 in cooperation with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Armenian Tourism Committee, an affiliation of the Ministry of Economy, said today.

It said presenttaives of the UN member states, tourism industry officials from many countries, as well as foreign and local investors, media, public and private institutions are expected to participate in the forum

According to the Tourism Committee, the event will promote the study and presentation of international experience in investing in tourism industry. Its participanmts will also discuss today's challenges and risks faced by the industry and other topical issues.

Social and cultural events are also planned within the framework of the forum to present Armenia's tourism potential and sights. --0--

117,000 tourists visited Armenia in February: Tourist flow decreased

In February 2025, Armenia was visited by 117,372 tourists, compared to 127,241 tourists in February 2024, according to the Tourism Committee.

Almost 140 thousand tourists visited Armenia in January: flow of visits down

YEREVAN, February 19. /ARKA/. Some 139,482 tourists visited Armenia in January 2025, the Tourism Committee, a division of the Ministry of Economy, reported.

According to it, most of the tourists were from Russia (55,130, or 39.5% of the total), Georgia (17,900, 13%) and Iran (13,180, 9.4%).
