South Caucasus railways posts 12.6 percent rise in international passenger traffic
The South Caucasus Railways (SCR), a Russian-run company operating Armenia’s railroads, said in a press release today that it transported 1,800 passengers in the first month of 2012 by Yerevan-Tbilisi trains, by 12.6% more than in January 2011, when it transported 1,600 passengers.

South Caucasus railways posts 22 percent rise in freight activity
Armenia’s railway freight activity in 2012 January grew by 22.1% from a year earlier to 210,300 tons, the South Caucasus Railways, a Russian-run company operating Armenia’s railroads, said in a press release. It said the figure represented an almost 20% rise form the projected volume.
