Foreign ministers of Armenia and Germany discuss bilateral ties

Armenia’s foreign affairs minister Edward Nalbandian had a tete-atete meeting on June 29 with the visiting foreign minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who is also the current OSCE chairperson-in-office. The meeting then proceeded in the extended format with the participation of delegations.

Escalation of tension in Karabakh carrying threat of war between Azerbaijan and Armenia

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said Monday in Vienna ahead of the OSCE Minks Group co-chairs’ meeting that the longer conflict in Nagorno Karabakh lasts the more intensive the conflicting sides arm themselves and the higher new escalation risk, including a war between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
