YEREVAN, May 2. /ARKA/. On Friday, Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan engaged with a delegation of over 10 businessmen from Lyon, presenting an overview of Armenia's investment policies and the legislative framework that supports investments and business growth.

"Armenia is committed to diversifying its economy and developing several strategic sectors. A key priority for us is to encourage foreign investment by fostering a more conducive, flexible, and predictable business landscape," Papoyan shared during the meeting.

The minister emphasized Armenia's eagerness for close collaboration, particularly with French partners, and expressed readiness to explore opportunities for investment projects that are mutually beneficial, according to the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

During the discussions, the French delegates shared insights into their business domains and expressed their interest in investing in Armenia, highlighting the potential for creating productive partnerships.

Statistics from Armstat reveal that France ranks as Armenia's 5th largest trading partner within the EU. In the initial months of 2025, the trade turnover between Armenia and France reached $17.7 million, marking a 12.4% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Out of this, nearly $16.6 million was attributed to imports from France to Armenia.-0-
