YEREVAN, March 20. /ARKA/. Yandex.Taxi, Russia's largest online taxi booking services is now available in Armenia’s towns of Hrazdan, Tsakhkadzor, Charentsavan, Spitak and Artik. Now, their residents can use the Yandex.Taxi app - a quick, easy, and safe way to order a taxi. No calls, no waiting on hold — just one tap, and the order is sent to the available closest driver so they can reach the passenger as quickly as possible.
Yandex.Taxi said the average waiting time in these towns is 3-5 minutes. The minimum cost of a trip is 200 drams. It includes the arrival of the taxi and two kilometers of travel. Then 100 drams per every kilometer. When leaving the city, the cost of every kilometer is no more than 150 drams.
Yandex.Taxi director for international development Mushegh Sahakyan says Yandex.Taxi had become an important part of everyday life. ‘This is an inexpensive, fast and reliable way to get to work, go shopping or visit a friend.
‘By automatically transferring the order to the nearest available driver, we shorten the car's arrival time and, and consequently, the cost of the service, because the driver does not need to go to the customer across the city,’ he says.
When ordering a taxi it is not necessary to know the exact address of the destination, one just has to specify the name of the institution or organization - the service will find them on the map and transport the passenger.
Yandex.Taxi does not work directly with drivers. It cooperates with taxi companies and dispatch services. Yandex is already available in Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri and many other towns. Free Yandex.Taxi application is available for iOS and Android.
Yandex.Taxi works in Armenia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Moldova and Georgia. In total, more than 200,000 drivers are connected to the service. -0-
