Armenia’s State Property Management Committee will be renamed the State Assets Management Committee, while the Water Committee will become the Land and Water Committee.

Armenia to Rename State Property Management Committee and Water Committee

YEREVAN, October 1. /ARKA/. Armenia’s State Property Management Committee will be renamed the State Assets Management Committee, while the Water Committee will become the Land and Water Committee.

The corresponding decision was adopted at a government meeting on Thursday.

Under the decision, both committees will also be removed from the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and placed under the direct authority of the government.

Armenia to redirect burial allowance funds toward pension increases — Minister

Funds currently allocated for burial allowances will be redirected toward increasing pensions, said Arsen Torosyan, Armenia's Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.
