Armenia and Georgia to exchange customs data

Armenia and Georgia will exchange customs data, Deputy Chairman of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee Vakhtang Mirumyan said to parliament on Monday.

YEREVAN, September 11. /ARKA/. Armenia and Georgia will exchange customs data, Deputy Chairman of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee Vakhtang Mirumyan said to parliament on Monday.
He said the creation of a common customs corridor will enable the two countries to exchange information on incoming cargo, which will eliminate the need for repeated inspections.
A similar document – a protocol on the exchange of customs statistical information between the Armenian State Revenue Committee and the Iranian Customs Service was signed in April this year.
The document is supposed to contribute to the growth of trade turnover between the two countries, to increase the volume of transit cargo transportation, and help boost tourism. -0-
