According to preliminary data, economic activity in Armenia for January-December 2025 increased by 9.1% compared to January-December 2024, the Statistical Committee reports.

YEREVAN, January 30. /ARKA/. Preliminary data indicates that Armenia's economic activity for the period of January to December 2025 has risen by 9.1% in comparison to the same timeframe in 2024, as reported by the Statistical Committee.

Furthermore, in December of the last year, economic activity saw an increase of 14% relative to December of the prior year, and a remarkable 23.4% rise compared to November of 2025.

In 2025, the industrial output reached an impressive 3,327,745.1 million drams, marking a 4.7% increase from 2024. December alone witnessed a year-on-year growth of 38.6%, alongside a month-on-month growth of 25%.

Last year, the gross agricultural output totaled 1,057,224.0 million drams, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 5.6%.

The construction volume for the reporting period last year surged by 20.2% compared to the same period the previous year, achieving a total of 810,676.1 million drams. In December, the year-on-year growth was recorded at 20.5%, while the month-on-month growth soared to 77.9%.

The domestic trade turnover for January to December 2025 amounted to 6,789,902.9 million drams, which is 3% higher than the corresponding period in 2024. In December, the year-on-year growth was 3.2%, with a month-on-month growth of 26.5%. According to statistics, the service sector (excluding trade) is projected to reach 4,089,742.4 million drams in 2025, representing a 10.5% increase compared to 2024. In December, the annual growth was 6.9%, with a monthly growth of 11.9%.

The state budget for Armenia anticipates economic growth of 5.1% for 2025 and 5.4% for 2026. -0-
