YEREVAN, May 13. /ARKA/. Iranian liquefied gas will arrive in Armenia in the coming days, announced RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan.

"Yesterday, the Iranian Ministry of Economy informed me that the problem of liquefied gas exports from Iran has been resolved. Uninterrupted supplies of liquefied gas from Russia have also been ongoing, but there has been a slight price increase in Russia, which has directly impacted Armenia," Papoyan told reporters on Wednesday.

The minister recalled that a small shipment of liquefied gas arrived in Armenia in early May, which was the main reason for the shortage.

"Our minimum plan was to provide the country with the required volume of liquefied gas, and this task has already been accomplished." Liquefied gas is currently available in all regions of Armenia, and its price exceeds 300 drams. For example, in Aparan, the price is around 240 drams, but this too should decrease. Work is underway to increase the supply of liquefied gas in larger volumes from Iran and Russia," Papoyan said.

Earlier disruptions in liquefied gas supplies sparked panic and outrage in Armenia. The Ministry of Economy provided an explanation, stating that the slowdown in the delivery of certain gas consignments was caused by delays at the Lars checkpoint and temporary logistical difficulties.
