Nonfoods in Armenia were 0.3% cheaper in Armenia in April 2016 than in March 2016, National Statistical Service reports.
YEREVAN, May 6. /ARKA/. Nonfoods in Armenia were 0.3% cheaper in Armenia in April 2016 than in March 2016, National Statistical Service reports.
The prices were driven down mostly by decrease in prices for detergents by 2.2%, cosmetics by 2.1%, diesel by 2.0%, petrol by 1.8%, personal care products by 1.8%, golden jewelry by 0.9% and fuel by 0.6%.
Besides, furniture prices slid 0.5%, drugs 0.5% and office appliances 0.4%.
Kitchen appliances, construction materials, textile products and gardener appliances slipped 0.2-0.1 percentage points.
Instead, prices for household electronics went 0.1% up, for carpets rose 0.2%, for clothes jumped 1.8% and for shoes leapt 4.3%.
Prices for foods in Armenia shed 0.5% in April 2016, compared with the previous month. --0---
