Armenian TV companies to submit prices for political advertisement to commission on TV, radio within five days
YEREVAN, November 22. /ARKA/. Armenian TV companies are to submit prices for political advertisement and the minimal daily time limit to the State Commission on Television and Radio of Armenia within five days, the Press Secretary of the Commission Lilit Gazazian reported.
The marketing departments of the Second Armenian TV Channel and “Armenia” TV reported that the price for political publicity will be 108,000Drams (about $340) and 130,000Drams (about $409) for a minute of airtime.
The TV companies also said that every contender will have not more than 6 minutes of paid airtime daily. The time not used on a particular day, cannot be utilized by the given candidate for presidency the next day.
The presidential election is to be held in Armenia on February 19 2008. Starting from today, Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission accepts documents for nominations for the presidential election till December 6. According to the schedule approved by the Commission, the registration of candidates is to be held in the period from December 31 to January 20 2008. Contenders are to run their election campaign in the period from January 21 to February 17 2008. N.V. –0--
