A state-of-the-art "Agro Prom" greenhouse complex for tomato cultivation, with an investment of 9.7 billion drams, has opened in Armenia's Aragatsotn province, the press service of the RA Ministry of Economy reported.
YEREVAN, August 26. /ARKA/. A state-of-the-art "Agro Prom" greenhouse complex for tomato cultivation, with an investment of 9.7 billion drams, has opened in Armenia's Aragatsotn province, the press service of the RA Ministry of Economy reported.
The greenhouse complex is equipped with modern technologies, including artificial intelligence-based control systems and robotic solutions for monitoring and managing the plant cultivation process.
No chemicals are used in production, the greenhouse complex is GLOBALG.A.P. certified, and Dutch virus-resistant tomato seeds are used.
The company is also currently building a new 10-hectare greenhouse for pepper cultivation. Investment in the project will total approximately 9 billion drams. In subsequent stages, blueberry plantations and vineyards are planned for the adjacent territories.
Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan emphasized the importance of establishing such industries for economic development, attracting new investment, and creating jobs.
