Armenia Greenlights CIS Customs Seals Agreement for Transport and Trade Documents

YEREVAN, April 23. /ARKA/. In its latest session, the Armenian government has given the go-ahead to an agreement regarding the procedure for applying customs seals and stamps on transport and trade documents by customs authorities across the CIS countries.

This agreement is designed to enhance customs control by ensuring proper identification of transport and trade documents. It aims to oversee the customs valuation of goods in transit and to outline the process for affixing customs seals and stamps on transport and trade documents as goods cross customs borders—whether they are transported by road, rail, air, sea, or through mixed means.

The agreement was initially signed on September 27, 2024, during a meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS countries held in Nizhny Novgorod.
