Armenian Defense Ministry claims Azerbaijan spread third false report on border shooting in one day

YEREVAN, April 1. /ARKA/. The Armenian Defense Ministry reported the third instance of disinformation from Azerbaijan in one day regarding shooting on the border with Armenia.
"The statement by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, claiming that from 17:00 on March 31 to 04:45 on April 1, Armenian Armed Forces units opened fire on Azerbaijani positions in the eastern and southeastern parts of the border zone, is not true," the Armenian Defense Ministry said.
The ministry also reminded that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed the establishment of a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations and related information. However, Azerbaijan has yet to respond to this proposal.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reiterated that, in line with the Prime Minister's Office's position, it is ready to investigate any facts supporting the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement, once such information is shared with the Armenian side.
