Armenian court allows one-month arrest of ex-president's son

A court in Yerevan has allowed law-enforcers to arrest Levon Kocharyan, the son of Armenia's ex-president Robert Kocharyan, for a month, Kocharyan's lawyer Alexander Kochubayev said.

YEREVAN, September 25. /ARKA/. A court in Yerevan has allowed law-enforcers to arrest Levon Kocharyan, the son of Armenia's ex-president Robert Kocharyan, for a month, Kocharyan's lawyer Alexander Kochubayev said.
Levon Kocharyan was detained during a disobedience rally in Yerevan on Saturday and later was hospitalized with brain concussion.
Lawyer Kochubaev noted that the police officers who used torture filed a statement that Levon Kocharyan had beaten 4 riot policemen. He described the arrest as legal lawlessness. -0-
