YEREVAN, March 1. /ARKA/. Edmond Marukyan has resigned from the post of Armenia's Ambassador-at-Large.

He said in a Facebook post that his resignation was prompted by differences in his and prime minister Nikol Pashinyan’s views on a number of fundamental foreign policy issues, ‘which make my further participation in the promotion of Armenian foreign policy impossible.’

Marukyan said he will continue to serve Armenia’s interests and use his knowledge and experience, as well as international contacts for defense of Armenia.

Pashinyan appointed Edmond Marukyan as Ambassador-at-Large on March 14, 2022. Before that Marukyan served three terms as MP. -0-
