Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will participate in the COP17 Leaders' Summit, which will be held in Armenia as part of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17).
YEREVAN, August 27. /ARKA/. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will participate in the COP17 Leaders' Summit, which will be held in Armenia as part of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17).
According to the press service of the Armenian government, during a telephone conversation, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan invited his Georgian counterpart to visit Armenia and participate in the summit. Kobakhidze accepted the invitation.
The two leaders also discussed the agenda of Armenian-Georgian strategic relations and the progress of cooperation between the two countries in various areas.
COP17 will be held in Armenia from October 19 to 30, 2026. It is planned to discuss the implementation of international commitments to preserve biodiversity.
