YEREVAN, January 30. /ARKA/. Samvel Karapetyan and Danil Khachaturov, Russian businessmen of Armenian descent, are included in so-called Kremlin report issued by the U.S. Treasury and submitted to the Congress.
This is a list of high-ranking Russian officials and tycoons close to the Russian authorities. The listed persons are likely to face US sanctions.
The Treasury told Russia’s TASS news agency, however, that no restrictions or bans apply to the persons listed in the report, excluding those who faced sanctions before.
The list is made up of 210 people – 114 officials who are in office at the moment and 96 tycoons.
Samvel Karapetyan and Danil Khachaturov are included in the section Oligarchs, where those whose wealth is estimated at $1 billion and more are listed.
Samvel Karapetyan, owner of Tashir Group, whose wealth amounts to $3.4 billion, came 32nd in the 2017 list of the 200 richest businessmen of Russia, and Danil Khachaturov, former owner of Rosgosstrakh Group, with a wealth amounting to $2 billion was ranked 48th. -0---
