Israel wants to develop friendly relations with Armenia

Israeli Regional Cooperation Minister Tzachi Hanegbi, who arrived in Armenia for an official visit, told Edward Nalbandian, Armenian foreign minister that Israel wants to develop friendly relations with Armenia, and this is the key aim of his visit, the press office of the Armenian foreign ministry reported on Wednesday.

YEREVAN, July 26. /ARKA/. Israeli Regional Cooperation Minister Tzachi Hanegbi, who arrived in Armenia for an official visit, told Edward Nalbandian, Armenian foreign minister that Israel wants to develop friendly relations with Armenia, and this is the key aim of his visit, the press office of the Armenian foreign ministry reported on Wednesday.
According to the press release, Nalbandyan met with Hanegbi yesterday.
Greeting the guest, Nalbandian stressed the importance of the Israeli minister’s visit to Armenia saying that the relations between the two nations have deep historical roots and this lays ground for development of international cooperation.
The two countries’ ministers discussed at their meeting regional and international problems as well as ways for improving trade and economic relations and increase tourist flows between Armenia and Israel.
Prospects for expanding relations in culture, science and education areas were discussed as well.
Upon completing their talk, the ministers signed an agreement on the lifting entry visa requirement applying to persons with diplomatic passports and the convention of abolishment of double taxation on income and property.
Hanegbi and Armen Amiryan, Armenian culture minister, signed an agreement on cooperation between the two countries’ governments in culture, science, education and sports. -0----
