Armenia to launch new unified emergency number

Yerevan, November 15. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved a draft strategy for police reforms for 2024-2026 during its meeting on Thursday

"To ensure prompt and efficient response to signals, a national unified operational control center, '112,' is planned. As part of this, services for calls to '911,' '103,' and '102' will be discontinued. Citizens will be able to access all services through a single phone number, from one point, with faster service," said Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan.

Accordin to the minister, a unified educational complex for the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be established. "A single entry channel into the police system will be introduced, and continuous training for staff will be guaranteed," he added, noting that these measures are planned for implementation in 2026. -0-
